While some general dentists do offer braces to patients, an orthodontist is the expert in recognizing and treating tooth alignment and bite issues.

Treatment typically takes 6-30 months and is dependent upon age, severity of alignment issues, and the treatment method that is used.

Some of the most common problems that can be fixed with braces are overbites, underbites, overcrowding, and spacing issues.

The staff in this office are exactly the type of professionals you'd want to be a part of your healthcare team. Why? Because they genuinely care for their patients. They are warm, funny, extremely knowledgeable and respectful. I look forward to my cleanings because I know I'll be treated how every patient should be treated. I have anxiety sometimes about going to the dentist but Dr. T will check in with me as he's working to make sure I'm okay. He explains step by step what I can expect. Are there other dentists in Sonoma County? Of course. However, there is only 1 Your Family Dentist!! The dynamic just works here. They are a bilingual office and while I don't utilize their translating services, I think the fact that they offer that shows how much they value their Spanish speaking patients. The chairs in the waiting room are really comfortable and that's yet another small detail from this office that I appreciate : )
